Sunday School
Once each month, children are invited to gather for Sunday School during the worship service. Children ages 3–12 can discover Bible stories, grow in their faith, and build lasting friendships through engaging discussions, creative crafts, fun games, and hands-on activities.
At Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, we cherish children as an important part of our church family and encourage their participation in worship. Special traditions, such as the Blessing of the Backpacks at the beginning of each school year, help celebrate and support our young learners. Additional family-friendly activities are offered during Easter and Christmas, including opportunities for children to take part in a Nativity play.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church is a fun-filled week for children ages 5–12, focused on growing in faith, love, and kindness together. Children will enjoy Bible stories, music, crafts, games, snacks, and story time. The VBS program runs for one week in August at the church. Children are invited to come, learn, play, and grow together in a welcoming and joyful community. Parents/Guardians need to register in advance for this summer program.
Men’s Bibles & Breakfast
Men’s Bibles & Breakfast meets on the third Saturday of each month, from September through June, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. This is a welcoming gathering where men can enjoy fellowship, meaningful conversation, and a shared meal together.
Our discussions focus on biblical studies as well as theological topics that are of interest to participants, providing opportunities to explore questions and deepen faith. The group shares in preparing and providing breakfast, making each gathering a relaxed and enjoyable time of community and connection.
Whether you are new to Bible study or have been studying Scripture for years, all men are warmly invited to join us.
